Guy Pratt came of age just as bass playing became sexy. Having dallied with punk legend Sylvain Sylvain, Pratt suddenly found himself on Top of the Pops and supporting David Bowie with smooth Australian outfit Icehouse. He became bass player to the stars, crawling from studio to bar and hotel to stadium Portakabin with the likes of Pink Floyd, Robert Palmer, Womack &Womack and Bryan Ferry. Guy has recorded with everyone from Madonna and Michael Jackson to McFly.

A rip roaring full energy romp through the life of one of the worlds most prolific and respected bassists. Well written, well read and quite the most entertaining 7 hours I've spent in a long time. The perfect blend of irreverent recollection and blindingly accurate observations. With so much drink and drugs involved, it's amazing Guy remembers any of it, but the stories are full bodied and for anyone interested in music who lived through the 80s and 90s, this is a must! Heff.
