Miranda’s back, but she’s not sticking around for long. In an attempt to regain her mojo, she’s packing up her whips, chains and thigh-high boots to leave London, and set out on a road trip unlike any other. With her best frenemy, and fellow dominatrix, Mistress Laveen in tow, she heads out to see what delights – and displeasures – they can dish out from the “comfort” of budget hotel rooms across the UK.

I am not often given to putting my feelings "online", but this was worth the public presence.
I was LIVING the lives and crying, laughing and gasping in all the right places. This is not the stereotypical "slant on Hollywood".

I had read other reviews, but after the first 7hrs, I was REALLY FLOUNDERING. I tried to get through the second half but I ended up doing my Washing Up and cleaning the house (for something to "engage my mind")!!
I liked the character of one of the Policemen <smile>. But this book just wasn't for me, personally.

In Episode 6, Miranda finally sits her driving test. But on the morning of the test, she is completely thrown by a surprising and unexpected houseguest, wearing one of her flatmate Dan's T-shirts and making herself more than at home. Celebrating her test (we're not saying she passes by the way), more might be exposed than even Miranda is comfortable with. Dreams are espoused and plans are hatched to escape the city in this first season finale.

The storyline (for me) was too reminiscent of Guardians Trilogy, which I had read only 5 months earlier. Maybe in the future I will complete this particular trilogy.

Books 1 & 2: At first I found it difficult listening to this type of story in a British accent (I grew up on American movies!!).
The Audio directing was a bit off. I could tell each time the reader took a break. The volume was reduced on the last words (like a fade-out).
But, by the tme book 2 ended - I was hooked. At least I only have to wait 1 month for book 3.
Get past the "non-stereo typical" British Accent and all the characters come to life and a are pleasure to experience.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I bought this book as the Sample of the 5th Book in the series sounded good. After the 1st few chapters of boredom, I forced myself to listen to the rest - maybe it would get better. It did not. Months later I tried the 2nd book and had to return it before the end of Part 1. I have "listened" to other books that I did not find good, but never have I been compelled to return one. Sorry, just not my cup of tea.

Has The Warrior's Apprentice put you off other books in this genre?

No. Just this author

What three words best describe Grover Gardner’s performance?

Articulate, Believable, Good

Do you think The Warrior's Apprentice needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Tried the follow-up. It confimed my feelings on the Saga.
