There from the first time that humans lived in villages to the clear absorption of Mesopotamia by the Persian Empire, and thus dilution of its identity, the story is presented. Real meaning is given to the names of various peoples long gone, as well as people who appear still in the news today, i.e, Assyrians. Minor repetitions of ideas and themes throughout the course help to reinforce the lessons from previous lectures and how they set up the world that was carried with the Hebrews and which transitioned from polytheism to monotheism.

This book has turned out to be the most beneficial book so far in my education. It's filled with the baby steps needed for penetration testing. This has given me enough knowledge to seek other reference material to continue along this track.

This is an easy to understand book, that could be used on its own, in addition to therapy, or even during therapy sessions. Take your time and go through the book one chapter at a time so that you get in the habit of routinely employing Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills independently. Give yourself a chance to work through it slowly albeit diligently and it will be of great help. Both of the authors are educated in and have significant experience in mental health. Being a clinical myself, I’d most certainly recommend it.

The author has written a good overview of Persian history from the founding of the Achievement empire until the Arab conquest. Despite the great time-span of his work he is able to provide many interesting details and insights. He accomplishes this by avoiding a strict chronological approach. Sections are devoted to the various empires such as the Parthia's, and, within these sections, chapters deal with subjects such as religion or classes in society
