Fun to listen to. The soundsscape and voice acting were good. The story felt like it was trying to be nostalgic by inserting scenes from aliens, although I liked the new parts from the characters on lv426.
I will definitely listen to it again.

According to mythology, mankind used to live in 'The Tranquiline Halls': heaven. But then the Voidbringers assaulted and captured heaven, casting out God and men. Men took root on Roshar, the world of storms, but the Voidbringers followed. The Almighty gave men powerful suits of armor and mystical weapons, the Shardblades. Led by 10 angelic Heralds and 10 orders of knights known as Radiants, mankind finally won (or so the legends say).

Yet another corker from Brandon Sanderson. This enormous audiobook kept me gripped from start to finish, and I am eagerly awaiting the sequel.

An aside: The sheer size of this epic audiobook (45.5 hours) does make me wonder why the publishers of the Game of Thrones audiobooks cannot release them in one purchase per book such as this, when Brandon Sanderson's epic is fully 15 hours longer...

The complete, unabridged audiobook of A Game of Thrones. HBO’s hit series A Game of Thrones is based on George R. R. Martin’s internationally best-selling series A Song of Ice and Fire, the greatest fantasy epic of the modern age. A Game of Thrones is the first volume in the series. Summers span decades. Winter can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

Although it is a bit poor of Audible to split a one-book epic tale into two halves of two downloads each, this is an interesting listen... provided you can get over the narration. Mr Dotrice clearly couldn't decide whether to use character voices or not, and in my opinion he should have just stuck to his normal voice. He also sometimes used the character's voice when reading between the spoken parts, and this annoyed the heck out of me. Unfortunately, the Audible version hasn't gripped me enough on the first listen that I would rush to buy the second half of the book.
