Vanessa Smith has loved horses for as long as she can remember and has a soft spot for both cats and dogs. She believes the best stories are the ones that pull you apart before putting you back together—filled with heroines who fight their own demons as fiercely as the ones standing in their way, and heroes who are equal parts dangerous and unforgettable.

A graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint with a degree in International Business Management, Vanessa blends her love of fantasy, dark romance, and a touch of chaos into the worlds she builds. She lives for complex characters, slow-burn tension, and endings that leave readers jaws hanging open.

Fate’s Last Melody is her latest novel, a journey through darkness, desire, and the unbreakable will of a heroine who refuses to surrender—even when all the odds are against her.
