Trixie is a recipient of the Pencraft Award for Literary Excellence, an award-winning filmmaker, an artist in multiple mediums, a film industry grip, and a cancer survivor. Born in Casper, Wyoming, she spent most of her adult life in central Florida and southern Louisiana, she now lives on the beach in Connecticut with her boyfriend, various small pets, and their rambunctious Jack Russel, Cindy. When she isn't clacking away on a keyboard or voraciously reading, she is tending her massive vegetable garden, solving cold case files with her younger sister, singing her heart out at concerts, or kayak fishing in Long Island Sound. Trixie Fairdale is a cozy mystery pen name (an easy way to keep her various genre fiction separate for readers.) She has also published award-winning extreme horror and fantasy under her real name, Erica Summers, and also writes contemporary romance under the pen name Odessa Alba.
