Tony Mears has spent much of his career in the public sector, from government departments to the UK Space Agency. He has been a delegate to the United Nations and European Space Agency for space technology, and more recently led innovation and strategy at NHS hospitals. When not pursuing public sector redesign, Tony can be found writing about why most of what we think we know about innovation across the public sector is out of date. His book 'Innovation is Dead: dispatches from the front' draws on his experiences of both disappointing failures and unexpected successes to help public sector leaders stop talking about innovation and start actually doing it.
