Teresa Tomeo is an author, syndicated Catholic talk show host, and motivational speaker with more than 30 years of experience in TV, radio, and newspaper, 20 of which were as a secular reporter/anchor in the Detroit market. In the year 2000, Teresa left the secular media to start her own speaking and communications company, Teresa Tomeo Communications, LLC. Her weekday morning radio program, Catholic Connection, is produced by the EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network. It is heard on over 600 Catholic radio stations worldwide and on the Sirius Satellite Network. Teresa appears frequently on the EWTN Global Catholic Television Network. Teresa is a long time field reporter for their annual March for Life coverage in Washington, D.C. Teresa has served as a correspondent for EWTN News In Depth, and is honored to be a media consultant for the USCCB Committee on Pro-Life Activities. As a Deacon’s wife, she is a columnist for The Deacon magazine. Teresa has been featured on Fox News, Fox & Friends, Newsmax, MSNBC, and Dr. James Dobson's Family Talk Radio, discussing issues of faith, media awareness, and Catholic Church teaching, especially as it relates to the culture. She was one of a select group of international delegates invited to the Vatican Women’s Congress in Rome, marking the 20th Anniversary of Pope Saint John Paul II's letter, On the Dignity and Vocation of Women (Mulieris Dignitatem) in 2008. Teresa also spoke at the Vatican conference entitled, "The Rights of the Family and the Challenges of the Contemporary World" on the topic, “The Way Family is Perceived in Society,” presented by the Pontifical Council for the Family in 2013. In her work as a pilgrimage/tour leader she has had the opportunity to visit various stunning locations all over Italy and has covered several canonizations of new saints in Rome. Visiting Italy on more than 70 occasions, and now a part-time resident, has given her a unique understanding of how to navigate the Eternal City and beyond, whether one is traveling there as a tourist or a pilgrim interested in the Papal audience, and she continues to uncover something new, explores the roots and history behind the beautiful Italian culture, food, architecture, art, music, faith and more. Over the past two decades, Teresa Tomeo has explored almost every region in Italy and has led pilgrimages and tours to Italy over 60 times. Having served as a journalist for 30+ years, Teresa has covered numerous assignments, including the canonization of several new saints in Rome, and the election of Pope Leo XIV. This gave her a unique understanding of how to navigate the Eternal City, whether one is traveling there as a tourist or a pilgrim interested ina Papal audience. As an experienced journalist, every time she goes to Italy, she uncovers something new, explores the roots and history behind the beautiful Italian culture, food, architecture, art, music, faith and more. In 2019, Teresa opened her own Italy travel consultation company, T’s Italy (Travel Italy Expert dot com)—coaching visitors to Italy on where to eat, stay, shop, play, and pray during their visit. Teresa is host of the popular EWTN Learn series "Saints in Italy" and author of more than a dozen books, including her best-selling book, "Italy’s Shrines and Wonders: Discovering Sacred Spaces, Fascinating Places, and Destinations off the Beaten Path" (EWTN Publishing). After exploring almost every region in Italy, Teresa and her husband purchased a home there in 2023, and they now live in central Italy for half of the year. This allows Teresa to continue to travel extensively throughout all of Italy. Her newest title, "Italy’s Shrines and Wonders: Discovering Sacred Spaces and Fascinating Places in the Life of St. Francis of Assisi" is scheduled to be released (EWTN Publishing) in June 2026. Teresa is an international speaker, where she addresses media awareness and activism, as well as sharing her reversion to the Catholic Church.
