Tegan Broadwater was playing age-restricted clubs at 14, studied jazz at the University of North Texas, and toured until burnout sent him in search of a new stage. So, logically, he cut eight inches of hair and joined the Fort Worth Police Department. Thirteen years later, via Narcotics, Gang, Homicide, and the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force, he'd prepared and served over 500 high-risk search warrants. His specialty: deep undercover work that didn't look like work (but was). Operation Fishbowl, a self-initiated deep undercover endeavor that lasted nearly two years and became a major FBI operation, sent 51 violent Crip gang members to prison. It earned Tegan a Attorney Commendation, the FWPD Officer of the Year, and an FBI Case of the Year nomination. He wrote the book on it...literally. “Life in the Fishbowl” details the operation, the relationships, and the cultural awakening that came with it. All profits go to charities that mentor children of incarcerated parents. Today, Tegan is the founder of Tactical Systems Network, a security, protection, and investigation firm with 80+ employees (50%+ of whom are military veterans). Through his company, Tee Cad Creative, LLC, he authors a weekly feature for SOFREP Digital Magazine (Special Operations Forces Report), releases original music, and hosts The Tegan Broadwater Podcast—uniting independent thinkers through extraordinary stories to inspire positive change, with guests ranging from undercover operatives and wrongfully convicted survivors to rock legends and social justice advocates. And stay tuned; a new book is in the works. Most days, Tegan runs his businesses, records thought-provoking music, invests in his favorite charities, works out, writes, and shares fine whiskey with his son or exclusive bros. However, he especially enjoys spending invaluable time with his best friend and wife, Holli, simply doing whatever she wants.
