Sharon McKinsey is a lifestyle coach and author who was born in Alaska and moved to California to study when she was 18. Despite enjoying the Californian lifestyle, Sharon never quite got used to the heat and she returned to her native Anchorage at the age of 25, where she started work for a health company.

Always keen on health and wellness, Sharon set about creating a holistic approach to it that included every aspect of her life and how she lived it. This idea quickly developed into a business model that was an almost instant success and has now spawned a collection of diverse books that cover health, lifestyle, relationships and much more.

In her free time, Sharon enjoys spending lots of it with her family, hiking, camping and fishing in the wilderness around her home. She is also a keen cook and nutritionist and is always experimenting with new ideas in her kitchen. When she wants to just relax it is often with a glass of red wine and a good movie or having a meal out with friends.

She is also a keen traveler and while she loves where she lives she is always keen to seek out other places in the world and enjoy new and exciting cultures.
Today, Sharon lives just outside Anchorage, on a smallholding that she helps to run with her husband and their three children, slowly building up her collection of chickens and other animals and enjoying using the produce from her garden in her everyday cooking.

She believes that everything is interconnected and that by addressing and caring about every aspect of our lives we can find the health and happiness we all deserve.
