Sean P. Joyce isn’t your typical 15-year-old. While most kids his age are stuck on level 30 of some video game, Sean is busy creating a whole world of ape warriors, jungle raids, and fierce fights for survival. The adventures of Plush, his fearless and often misunderstood ape, began as bedtime tales and grew into full-blown epics through his imagination. With the help of an English teacher and a school writing class, Sean took his storytelling to the next level and wrote his debut novel, The Great Esc-APE. Sean P. Joyce is a 15-year-old storyteller with a bold imagination. From a young age, Sean was known for spinning tales, often centered on a mischievous and brave chimp named Plush. These stories began as animated conversations at home, evolving over time into a full-blown universe brimming with humor, heart, and high-stakes action. His journey from spoken word to written page took off when his exceptional English teacher introduced a creative writing course. What started as a school project quickly became something more: a chance to share the world he’d been building for years. That’s when The Great Esc-APE was born.
