Sarah Shaw worked a secretary in London in the 1970s for a variety of organisations including the BBC, a publisher, a security company. This gave her a lifetime love of notebooks and super-fast typing speed. She later gained an honours degree, qualified as a librarian and enjoyed working in public and academic libraries. She has since retired and lives beside the sea. Likes: curry, cats, John Lennon, silent films and singing in a choir.. Favourite authors: Jill Dawson, Sarah Harrison, Hilary Mantel, Jennifer Johnston, Barbara Pym, Wilkie Collins and Thomas Hardy. Favourite book: "London belongs to me" by Norman Collins
