Sandra Biersdorfer, an East Texas native, lives in Nacogodches, TX with her two cats Ethel and Shadow. She has always enjoyed reading and writing and is a huge advocate of reading to children as early as possible. A former substitute teacher, Sandra attributes her love of children's books to all those she has read to the many children she has babysat throughout the years and believes that has helped her pinpoint what children like and want in a story. She read to both of her children, now adults, while she was pregnant with them and believes that was a great jump start to their love of reading. In fact, her daughter is a 9th grade English teacher in Katy ISD. Her son is a Math major at Stephen F. Austin State University.
