Sam L. Amirante was born in Chicago, Illinois. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. He is a retired circuit court judge and currently practices law with a concentration in criminal defense. He has been named as an Illinois Leading Lawyer by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and authored the missing child act of 1984, which was the basis of the current Amber Law. He has lectured throughout the country and has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows. He along with Danny Broderick authored John Wayne Gacy "Defending A Monster" and is currently working on an an upcoming novel.
