Sabine Meyer grew up in West Germany and was making cartoon stories before she even knew how to write. Storytelling was in her blood. She inherited it from her father, who would tell his children magical tales over Sunday breakfasts. Life took her on some unexpected detours—through medical school and eventually across the ocean to the U.S.—but her love for stories never faded. Today, Sabine is a geriatric psychiatrist with a Ph.D. in biotechnology and five grown children. Sabine brings a unique blend of emotional insight and creative wonder to her writing. Her stories blend dark whimsy, moral depth, and fantastical elements that resonate with young readers. Sabine’s books invite older children, teens, and adults to explore big questions through the eyes of angels, dragons, and courageous kids, always with heart, humor, and just enough darkness to make the light shine brighter. She writes part-time from her cozy home office, dividing the rest of her week between her private practice and two endlessly inquisitive grandsons. If you or your children love fantasy with emotional resonance and just a twist of the eerie, Sabine Meyer’s stories will feel like coming home to magic.
