Ruairí McKiernan is a multi-award winning Irish social innovator, campaigner, speaker and writer. and He is the founder of the pioneering SpunOut.ie youth organisation, a former Presidential appointee to the Council of State (2012-2019), a Fulbright scholar, and a regular contributor to the national media on health, wellbeing, social and environmental issues. Ruairí has been named by global social entrepreneurs organisation Ashoka as one of the top 10 changemakers in Ireland. He is also host of the popular Love and Courage podcast which features inspirational voices for change from around the world. He travels extensively throughout Ireland and internationally offering talks, workshops, retreats, consultancy and campaigning support to individuals and organisations in areas such as mental health, leadership, and community engagement. Ruairí lives on the west coast of Ireland with his wife Susan Quirke who is a respected singer, songwriter, musician and meditation teacher.
