Roberto Servitje S. was born in 1928 in Mexico City. He studied humanities at the Jean de Brebeuf College in Montreal, accounting at the Escuela Bancaria y Comercial in Mexico City, and the Program for Management Development at Harvard University. At 17, he began working for Bimbo and was instrumental in the company's expansion to Guadalajara and Monterrey. He served as CEO and Executive Chairman of Grupo Bimbo, and in 1994 was appointed Chairman of its Board of Directors. He has been a professor at IPADE and has given lectures at various forums in several countries.
