Rev. Tuto Taveras is a spiritual teacher, creative visionary, ordained minister, and author. His life has been a journey where art, faith, and inner searching have come together to form a message of transformation and hope. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Tuto showed from an early age a special sensitivity to both music and spirituality. Through songs, the piano, and the experience of “entering the zone,” he began to sense that there was something greater, something that always accompanied him: the presence of God. That thirst first led him to the most obvious path, traditional religion, but he soon discovered that his journey would be different. With a restless heart, he explored many spiritual paths: metaphysics, transcendental meditation, yoga, Buddhism, Hinduism, the Brahma Kumaris, the Bahá’í faith, the Twelve Steps, A Course in Miracles… Each gave him glimpses of light, yet the full answer always seemed elusive. What he didn’t know then was that the answer was not outside, but within him. A turning point came when he was ordained as a minister in New York. It was not that God accepted him at that moment—He had always been there—but that Tuto, for the first time, allowed himself to feel worthy of embracing that intimate presence within. The ordination became the threshold that opened him to the truth that communion with God is not a privilege for a chosen few, but a universal reality. In time, he understood that it is not about “worthiness,” because God lives within all of us, without exception. In parallel with his spiritual journey, Tuto built a successful artistic and professional career in music and audiovisual production with studies in Music Production and Engineering, a degree in Digital Cinematography, and a Master’s in Digital Marketing. As a musician, sound engineer, and producer, he worked alongside some of the most iconic figures in Latin music, including Juan Luis Guerra, Johnny Ventura, Sergio Vargas, Miriam Cruz, Milly Quezada, his father Jorge Taveras, Lope Balaguer, Luchy Vicioso, Sonia Silvestre, among many others. His talent and versatility led him to participate in countless high-level projects, consolidating a reputation of excellence in the industry. Every stage, studio, and production became part of a silent preparation that later allowed him to merge his creative sensibility with his spiritual message. From this lifelong search was born his book, The Two in You: How to End Struggle and Conflict in Your Life. The book distills years of experience, exploration, and awakening into a clear message: within each of us live two voices. One is the ego—loud, fearful, and conflicted. The other is the divine—gentle, loving, and wise. True peace begins when we learn to recognize them and consciously choose the voice of God that always dwells within. Beyond his ministry and writing, Tuto is the founder of Lolico Productions, a creative company that produces commercials, documentaries, corporate videos, and diverse audiovisual content. While some may call these projects “secular,” for Tuto nothing is truly secular: every creation is an opportunity to reflect, even subtly, something of God. The name of the company itself makes this clear: Lolico stands for Love, Light and Compassion. Together with his wife, Sandra López, he produces 100% Dominicano, a television program that celebrates culture, identity, and the values of the community. Beyond entertainment, this project is also a service to God, a way to uplift and strengthen the spirit of its audience. On his social media platforms, Tuto shares capsules of spiritual inspiration—short yet profound messages that invite reflection and inner awakening. It is another way he seeks to plant seeds of awareness and accompany people on their daily journey toward peace and fulfillment. Today, Rev. Tuto Taveras devotes his life to serving through words, art, and spirituality. His purpose is to remind each person that they are far more powerful than the inner voice that drags them into conflict, and that we all have access to a life guided by love, compassion, and truth. “Everything I do—music, shows, productions, or books—is in service to God.
