Reagan Boggs is an Appalachian storyteller whose work has moved through songs, stages, microphones, and now fiction. Raised in Southwest Virginia and based in East Tennessee, she writes from the music, language, humor, and hard-earned memory of the region that shaped her. A lifelong musician and songwriter, Reagan spent years performing original Appalachian and Americana-rooted music. Her songs have charted on Americana radio, and she has appeared twice on Mountain Stage. Since 2017, she has also narrated audiobooks for publishers including Penguin Random House, using the same regional voice that has carried her music and stories for most of her life. Her writing is plainspoken, character-driven, and interested in the ordinary details that carry more than people admit. She writes about complicated women, complicated pasts, family damage, loyalty, survival, and the slow work of telling the truth. Bicentennial Baby is her first novel. She sometimes calls it the longest song she has ever written.
