Hello! I'm Rachael Lucas, and I write the sort of books you can read when you fancy a bit of comfort reading - whether that's on the beach, curled up on a comfy chair by a fire, or grabbing ten minutes to yourself on your daily commute. It's the sixth novel I've written which is set in the little Scottish Highland village of Applemore, all of which are standalone stories. If you haven't read them all, now's a great time to catch up. I write my books at the kitchen table - all four of my children are almost grown up now, but they fly in and out of the nest, devouring the contents of the cupboards and asking to borrow the car keys, so it's the best place to get a passing hug and also to keep up with their news. After sixteen novels, I've learned to write with family life going on around me!
