Phoebe C. Tellman, a victim of abuse at fifteen years old has spent a lifetime researching, including undergraduate and graduate studies in clinical psychology, the lifetime impacts on children who have been sexually molested by an adult acquaintance. Her memoir has become the most important work of her life, knowing that if, after reading this book, an abused child tells a trusted adult, healing will begin, and their future will be set on the best path possible. Concurrently, for parents to become aware of how to recognize the monsters at their table and how to protect, listen, and become their child's warrior. Additionally, Phoebe crushes the stigmas related to abuse by a known assailant through knowledge, education, compassion, and understanding. The beaches have softened, but these stigmas still create casualties--our children, who hide within the dark, loneliness of sexual abuse, afraid to tell. It is time to bring them into the light, heal them, and make them whole again. Phoebe, over three decades, coached and mentored thousands of people while an executive in corporate America, believing that paying forward to others is a responsibility for us all. As said by Zig Ziglar, "You will get whatever in life you want by helping others get what they want."
