Phil Bailey is an ardent fan of science fiction and space exploration. When he isn't writing, Phil loves to travel, scuba dive, or shoot videos from his drone. Born in Singapore to British expat parents, Phil's family led a nomadic existence in his early years. After Singapore, Phil lived in Malaysian Borneo, England, then Ontario, Saskatchewan, and finally, in and around Victoria on beautiful Vancouver Island. Phil is married to his high school sweetheart, Cora. They live in the seaside town of Sidney on the outskirts of Victoria, with their neurotic Formosan mountain dog, May. Formerly a software developer, Phil worked for a wide variety of industries and organizations, including several years at Cowichan Tribes - British Columbia's most populous first nation. Phil's work inspired his interest in indigenous people and the effects of colonization, themes that are prevalent in the final chapters of his award-winning debut novel, Kelvoo's Testimonial.
