Pete Hise is the founding and lead pastor of Quest Community Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Growing up in New York, Pete radically encountered Christ on November 12, 1982, and was thoroughly redeemed by the love of Jesus. Since May 1999, Pete’s compelling teaching, consummate leadership, and authentic relational evangelism have shaped the culture of redemption at Quest, embodied in its mission of “transforming unconvinced people into wholehearted followers of Jesus.” Pete holds an MDiv degree from Asbury Theological Seminary and a BA in religion and philosophy from Houghton College. As a featured speaker at the Ichthus Festival, Velocity, the Nines, Asbury Theological Seminary, Asbury University, and at The Uprising, Quest’s annual church leadership experience, Pete most relishes speaking to and challenging the local church. His first book, What Life Are You Waiting For?, will be released in May 2014. He and his wife, Jacki, have two sons, Corey and Carson, and make their home in Lexington, Kentucky.
