Patricia Grayhall is a retired medical doctor and author of the memoir, Making the Rounds: Defying Norms in Love and Medicine, which garnered many awards, including a starred review and one of Kirkus Reviews Best 100 Indie Books of 2022, the 2024 National Indie Excellence Award for LGBTQIA Non-fiction and Memoir and the 2023 Best Indie Book Award Winner in LGBTQ Memoir. Patricia coauthored a romance novel with her wife in 2023: Golden Years and Silver Linings. Her third book, A Place for Us, was published by She Writes Press in June 2025 and distributed by Simon and Schuster. Abby Craden narrates the audiobook. It is a finalist for the Canadian Book Club Award for romance. Her fourth book, FRAMED: A Thriller, published by Rain City Press, will be released on January 20, 2026 Patricia splits her time between Seattle and Vancouver Island, where she and her partner enjoy other people’s dogs, the noisy jostling of seals on the dock, the playfulness of otters, and the occasional sighting of an orca or black bear.
