Her notable works include The Latin American Art Song: Sounds of the Imagined Nations, considered the definitive history of its subject, and We Are What We Listen To: The Impact of Music on Individual and Social Health, a pioneering exploration of how music influences both personal well-being and social health. A sought-after performer, Patricia has toured worldwide and is the founder and director of the Barcelona Festival of Song, an internationally recognized program dedicated to Latin American and Iberian vocal music. She regularly presents lectures and masterclasses at prestigious universities and conservatories around the globe. Patricia’s interest in technology has led her to explore innovative ways to bring music and its impact to a wider audience, further enhancing her artistic and academic pursuits. She holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Medical Doctor degree from the Escuela Colombiana de Medicina.
