Rick Harris has lived an adventure-filled life travelling to many parts of the world. However, his favourite place is in his backyard: the Canadian Rocky Mountains. In 2003, something extraordinary changed his life forever: the birth of the first of his five grandchildren, Kyra. Kyra, from a very young age, Rick Harris' oldest granddaughter, referred to him as Papa. Papa is what all of his five grandkids call him. Kyra is the co-author of their first Children's book. With the Rocky Mountains being their playground, Papa Rick and his five grandkids have had numerous outdoor recreational experiences, which have led to a new phase in Papa Rick's life. The author of several non-fiction books, Rick now writes with his grandchildren, bringing their adventures to life through an adventurous bear named Kaboose. Rick embraces this new phase of his life and looks forward to sharing an entire Children's book series, The Adventures of Kaboose the Rocky Mountain Bear, with you.
