Religion was always present in my childhood; however, it took many years for me to realize the distinction between religion, religious expression, and my relationship with the Creator.

I had a love for reading, which took me places I could not physically go. Reading was my escape from the household's all-around dysfunction.

I am a lifelong learner. I earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing management and innovation. In addition, a master’s degree in leadership and community development, and a second master’s degree in biblical studies. My doctoral studies focused on education and organizational leadership.
