Olivia Jones is a nine-year-old American author and business owner. She was born in the Bronx, New York. Since the age of three, Olivia displayed an inclination towards music, art, and an affinity for patterns and colors. She often drew symmetrical designs and spent her playtime singing tunes and clapping to every rhythmic pattern in earshot. As an early reader, she entered kindergarten with an understanding of phonics and sight words. On the first day of school, a classmate pointed to a picture and screamed “rocket.”Olivia then looked at the word below the picture and told the girl that it said “pencil.” The little girl ran around the classroom screaming, “she can read!” She has won several reading awards and certificates including the Jump Into Reading Challenge, initiated by Senator Troy Singleton, Assemblyman Herb Conaway, and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy. Olivia also has an interest in music and worked with her dad, who is a music producer, in which she co-wrote, co-produced, and performed her first song, “I’m Happy.” Olivia is enrolled in gymnastics and loves to read books and watch videos to learn additional moves. She also enjoys Warren Buffet’s “Secret Billionaire’s Club” cartoon and is currently building a robot that is programmed by the code she arranged on her mobile devices. She resides with her mom, dad, younger sister, and two brothers.
