Miriam Verbeek is a multiple award-winning author of international crime thrillers and contemporary fantasy series. She holds a PhD and an MBA from the University of NSW, Australia, and Post Graduate Diplomas in International Affairs and Environmental Management. She has worked for environmental, academic, international and local organisations as a consultant and administrator. Miriam is an avid traveller, having walked the length of Australia, canoed in the Arctic, climbed hills in Antarctica, biked around Europe, dived in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, and visited many countries. When she is not writing or editing, Miriam is likely in the garden, in the bush walking or running with her dogs, playing with grandchildren or reading a book ... or practising on her piano She calls Australia home but was born in Indonesia to Dutch-German parents.
