Mike Hamel is a veteran author and executive book collaborator who is known for helping accomplished professionals articulate their expertise and create books that extend their influence. He started his freelance career in 1996 after serving as editor of INTEREST magazine in Chicago.

Since then, his articles, posts, and books have spanned topics as diverse as business, theology, political theory, juvenile fiction, children’s picture books, healthcare, cancer, nonprofits, biographies, and memoirs. Along the way, he’s interviewed over 100 C-level business people and entrepreneurs for various books on leadership.

Before working with John Deming on Blueprint for a Spacefaring Civilization and Progress Is a Choice, he coauthored other books on social theory, including Entrepreneurial Communities: An Alternative To The State and Powering Social Enterprise with Profit and Purpose: The Tandem Hybrid.
