Michael Nash-Whitmore was born and grew up in Poynton, Cheshire, England. A graduate of the University of York, he has worked as a computer programmer, a college lecturer and an artist blacksmith. He plays the bass guitar in a local rock band in Manchester and sings in local productions of Gilbert and Sullivan operas. He has been writing stories since he was six and songs since he was seven, but "Shadow Of The Moor" is his first published novel. He lives in Manchester with his husband Keith.
