Michael Hymanson is a seasoned security services industry professional, offering consulting, writing, and research services for select clients. After earning a B.S. in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University, he began his security career in 1974 at Pan American Investigation Service, Inc. where he became president and owner until its acquisition by U.S. Security Associates in 2006. Michael held key roles at U.S. Security Associates until 2018 and is a Board-Certified Protection Professional (CPP®). A long-time member of ASIS International and the Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State, Michael has held leadership roles in both organizations. He has authored articles for many trade publications including Hotel Business Review, and Security Director Magazine.
