Dean Michael Polizzi, A.K.A Michael Haden, is a successful businessman and volunteer soccer coach in Tampa, Florida. One of his players, Deana Murphy, a vibrant young woman, was killed in an accident. An accident she did not cause. A drunk driver cut her down in her prime. In conversation her friends wondered what could have happened if Deana had been given a second chance. The question inspired Haden to write “A Deal with God: The Power of One”, a story set in an alternate reality. Haden had hoped that the writing of the book would be therapeutic. However, when it was done he was faced with the fact that Deana did not get a second chance. She was gone, and he was left angry that her young life was taken so unnecessarily. His interest began turning to the tales of the old west which he had enjoyed in his youth. This was a time in our history when bad deeds did not go unpunished, when revenge was swift and just. In his latest writing, Haden’s imagination captures the spirit of that adventurous era.
