Matt Rusten serves as President of Made to Flourish and Editor in Chief of Common Good magazine. Since the organization’s founding in 2015, he has guided Made to Flourish through multiple strategic plans, expanding its reach to thousands of pastors and churches across the United States. As president, Matt leads the organization’s vision and strategy while overseeing key initiatives in fundraising, partnerships, and organizational growth. Prior to his leadership at Made to Flourish, Matt served in pastoral roles in Kansas City, and Madison, Wisconsin. His pastoral experience deeply informs his work equipping church leaders to connect faith, work, and everyday life. Matt earned a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry in Faith, Work, Economics, and Vocation from Fuller Theological Seminary. A frequent writer and speaker, he is the author of Pastoring for Monday (InterVarsity Press, forthcoming June 2026), and is recognized as one of the leading voices in the faith and work movement.
