Marjorie credits her interest in writing to the unusual backdrop of her childhood. When she was just ten months old, her incredibly hardworking father enlisted a partner and bought an eighteen-hole golf course. The new town had a tiny population. For the family of six, the same was true of their living accommodations at the end of the course’s clubhouse. Living on-site allowed little privacy, but Marjorie discovered she genuinely enjoyed her view from inside the fishbowl looking out. She grew up observing and imagining. Eventually, her imagination outgrew its bounds, and a multi-genre author emerged. At the University of Stevens Point, Marjorie graduated with a degree in secondary education with a major in English and a minor in psychology. Still living happily in Wisconsin, she and her husband have two grown children, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren—wonderful, each and every one of them.
