When Margaret was ten, her grandmother died from complications of diabetes. Completely devastated, Margaret decided to become a doctor and find the cure for chronic diseases. After graduating, she focused on scientific research of human metabolism. She quickly saw that many metabolic disorders could be prevented by certain dietary and lifestyle changes, and that diet was often more effective than medicine. She also became interested in immunology, especially the phenomenon of chronic inflammation. This condition is becoming dangerously common, even though most cases are preventable with a combination of physical activity and diet. Margaret spent years carefully analyzing the data of hundreds of people and successfully identified the risk factors of chronic inflammation. Margaret regularly travels the world to observe the health and nutrition habits of different societies, including long-isolated tribes. Her findings strongly suggest that certain dietary strategies closely correlate with low levels of inflammation and low risk of heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. Access to scientific journals is expensive and very limited, so Margaret has started publishing ebooks that promote healthy nutrition strategies to the general public. Margaret is married to a chef so she always has a reliable source of culinary inspiration at her side. That's why the recipes in her books are so delicious and so easy to follow. In her free time, Margaret does yoga with her grandchildren and goes hiking in the mountains.
