Liz Truss MP has been the Conservative Member of Parliament for South West Norfolk since 2010 and served as the 56th Prime Minister of the United Kingdom – the first British Prime Minister to have been educated at a state Comprehensive school. She served in the British government continuously for more than 10 years, across a variety of ministerial briefs including Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Secretary of State for International Trade and Foreign Secretary. Liz’s achievements as a minister ranged from securing the release of British national after nearly six years in Iranian captivity to blocking gender self-ID reform to standing up to Vladimir Putin following his illegal invasion of Ukraine. As Prime Minister Liz took decisive action to make Britain grow again, through the Energy Price Guarantee and the Plan for Growth. Her missions to kick-start economic growth, establish energy security and restore democratic accountability continue to this day.
