Welcome readers! As a poetry and children's book author, I am excited to share my thoughts with you. The poetry books are about my experiences through this journey called life: from being a woman, a working single mother, a wife, a divorcee, to healing through the grief of losing a loved one. Many people feel alone but we all have a similar story, so let's grow together with a book! My children's book series will be for pre-sale on November 18, 2024! The series is called Baby Cakes and they are books where your little ones will explore a delightful journey, learning about different types of families, their unique traditions, and discovering how each family bonds through something as simple—and delicious—as baking a cake. With colorful illustrations and engaging stories, I encourage children to celebrate diversity, whether it's learning about a new tradition or baking a family-favorite cake, in a place where love, diversity, and sweetness blend together! Let's bake a cake! I grew up in University Place, WA and graduated from the University of Washington, where I received my bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and Speech Communications. My son was four months old when I graduated and my daughter came along 8 years later. I got divorced twice realizing that happiness is not accomplished with a label and that self-love is the key to growing into the person you are designed to be. My career started out as a Senior Marketing Outside Sales Representative and transitioned into Project Management assisting in developing a Military Health Education and Training Program. I furthered my career as a Family Service Advisor establishing families pre-planning arrangements, property selections and building community partnerships. I want to thank you all for spending your time in my thoughts! You will laugh, cry, connect, and be inspired to know that no matter how positive we are on the outside we all have life on the inside. So, stay amazing and don't let your past define you! It's only a lesson learned on your journey to greatness!
