LEE ANDREW TAYLOR – WRITER’S BIO TO DATE - Lee Andrew Taylor is a multi-genre screenwriter and horror fiction author. Born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, UK, in 1969, he moved to Bedworth, Warwickshire, at the age of nine. He has written 6 horror-themed fiction novels and 13 various genre movie screenplays, with 4 new stories being written. In 2019, Lee was hired to write a sci-fi, horror TV pilot for Dark Image Studios, a British Production Company, where he received a letter of recommendation for his creativity in producing a quality screenplay after only receiving a short description of what the producer required. In 2020, Lee was on the brink of having some of his screenplays produced into movies, but the COVID-19 lockdown stopped all progress. The same happened in 2023, after the WGA writers' strike stopped progress on some of his ideas. In 2023, Lee's ghost story screenplay - RECALL - was optioned by a British Producer, but sadly, the option agreement ended in May 2024. Since then, RECALL was placed on the shortlist with 2 production companies, got to the quarter finals of a screenwriting competition, & also got into the top 10% of the most viewed screenplay ideas on Coverfly. More recently, Wave Films in Singapore asked to read the screenplay. They were very impressed with it, but felt the actor they wanted to use didn't fit the main character. In 2024, Lee spoke with a Producer in Canada about his zombie novel series - CLIFTON FALLS - There has been interest in it & a few of his horror screenplays. So far in 2025, Lee's screenplay - The Devil's Diary - reached the top 15% of viewed screenplay ideas on Coverfly, and his alien insect story - Bedbugs - and his story about a father who moves his family into his childhood home after witnessing his mother's murder there 25 years earlier, were in consideration with a production company. Lee has also found interest in his movie screenplays in 2025, with a London-based Media company asking to read pitch decks for his 12 screenplays, with a special interest in his Devil's Diary story. Lee also has a British media company interested in raising funding for 2 of his movie screenplays. In the past, Lee's had conversations with the likes of Elijah Wood's (Lord of the Rings) & Joe Dante's ( Director of Gremlins) production companies about some of his scripts and has even spoken to Anthony C Ferrante (Director of the Sharknado movies) on Skype about his Bedbugs idea.
