She lives in the Piney Woods of Texas with her family and assorted animals (including chickens!) and is a full-time project manager, all of which have granted her the patience to wrangle recalcitrant characters and misbehaving plotlines into something resembling a story. She writes slowly in the corner of her bedroom on her grandmother's old secretary, which is filled with bells, crystals, tarot card decks, old photos, and memories.
