Laura Coogle Martin is a natural history illustrator and author. Her latest book, Endangered Plants of the Southeast (University of Georgia Press) will be released Spring 2027. She has previously published 26 books, primarily about gardening, crafts and tea. Her most recent book is A Naturalist's Book of Wildflowers (Norton Publishing.) She has a B.S. degree in botany and a certificate degree in Botanical Art and Illustration from the New York Botanical Gardens. She loves gardening and maintains an exuberant garden in Atlanta, Georgia and is passionate about plant conservation. In addition, she loves weaving, cooking, crafting, piano, grandchildren and power walking.
