Larissa Lawson is an educator and the author of Life Skills for Teens Beyond the Classroom: A Fun and Interactive Workbook to Discover Your Purpose, Manage Anxiety, and Navigate Uncertainty.

Her work is dedicated to empowering young people to move through life with independence and confidence. Her writing is fun and easy to read, and aims to provide teens and young adults with guidance they can turn to as they face new challenges in their everyday lives.

Due to her family circumstances when she was younger, Larissa was forced to grow up quickly and learned a lot of the skills she would later need as an adult independently. Now, with teenage children of her own, she has an eagle eye for recognizing the challenges young people face and the skills they need to help them through.

Driven by her own difficulties as a child and an awareness that the world is changing rapidly, Larissa is committed to helping young people navigate the challenges that the education system doesn’t equip them for. She volunteers in schools and youth centers, running workshops that aim to give young people the skills they need to grow into independent adults. Larissa is always guided by the groups she works with and aims to make every session fun in a way that works for the dynamic of the group.

Larissa is Swiss-American and lives with her family in California. She loves reading, cooking, and discovering new things – which she finds her children to be excellent instigators of.
