Born in Arlington, Virginia, Kimberly grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Her father, Raymond, was an officer in the Navy, and her mother, Emily, was a stay-at-home mom. Blessed with an overactive imagination, Kimberly often wrote short stories and poetry. Her first novel, The Last Summer, was published in February 2013. Her psychological thriller Method received outstanding reviews from readers on Inkitt. Other notable works include Sold, Healing and the Lotus, and A Life In Wonderment. In late 2022, Kimberly came out to her family. The following summer, she came out publicly in a social media post. Inspired by her Christian upbringing, and her own coming-out story, she began working on her first LGBTQ novel, When They Came For Us. Downtown Elizabeth City, NC is the setting for this dystopian novel, which tells the story of two women who risked their lives to be together after the end of gay rights. A release date is pending. Kimberly resides in North Carolina and enjoys spending time with her sons and her partner and muse, Miranda. You can follow Kimberly on Instagram @authorkimberlybeauge.
