Ken Mellott is a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, former Air Force pilot and intelligence officer, and editor of Veterans Life Magazine.

His path to the cockpit began watching his father ship off to Vietnam — a moment that ignited a lifelong pursuit of courage and purpose. That journey took him from the brutality of cadet life to supersonic flight training, a harrowing ejection over Mississippi, Cold War intelligence missions behind the Berlin Wall, and a decades-long battle with PTSD redeemed by faith, love, and grace.
On Broken Wings is his debut memoir. He also authors The Signature Series, a four-book Christian thriller series.

He lives in Colorado Springs with his wife.
