Ken Isaacs is a global humanitarian leader with over 35 years of experience working in emergency relief and disaster response. He has traveled to over 150 countries, establishing and managing operations that serve millions in conflict zones including Syria, Iraq and Ukraine. In 2004, he was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as director of the U.S. Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) under the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Ken has testified as an expert witness before various congressional committees on a range of subjects, including complicated emergencies in North Korea, Sudan and Liberia. As a public speaker, Ken often speaks at universities, conferences and events across the country. Ken currently lives in North Carolina and serves as the Vice President of Programs and Government Relations at Samaritan's Purse.
