Kathy is a writer, photographer, and positive psychology enthusiast, who was born in British Columbia, Canada, and currently lives in Portugal. Before embracing more creative pursuits, she began her career as a paramedic, initially in a rural area of the province then in Vancouver. Calling on her emergency response training and her strong desire to help people, Kathy volunteered for almost ten years for a Canadian NGO that specializes in medical aid and disaster relief. Currently, she and her husband are settling into their new home in Porto, Portugal. Kathy is enjoying focusing on her writing and photography.
