Katherine Johnson is an Australian author living on the wild island of Tasmania. Her novels include Pescador’s Wake, The Better Son, Matryoshka and Paris Savages, which was The Times Historical Fiction Book of the Month in July 2020. Paris Savages was published as Selvaggi in Italy in 2021 and was shortlisted in the 2020 Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIA). Her manuscripts have won Tasmanian Premier’s Literary Prizes. Katherine was the inaugural winner of The Australian Fiction Prize for her new novel to be published by HarperCollins in 2026.
