Karen Randau is an award-winning author of emotionally grounded romantic suspense and women’s fiction. A native of the southwestern United States, she has been writing and telling stories since childhood. She holds a degree in journalism and public relations from The University of Texas at Austin and spent many years working in marketing communications, including early work in a psychiatric hospital where she authored several self-help books. She later joined an international relief and development organization, using her skills to support programs serving communities affected by extreme poverty. Her work took her to developing countries around the world, where she witnessed both profound hardship and remarkable resilience. Those experiences continue to shape the stories she tells—stories that explore family bonds, faith under pressure, hidden truths, and the courage required to begin again. Karen lives in Arizona, where the desert, the mountains, and the complexity of human connection inspire her writing.
