I have spent most of my adult life, 27 years, living and working overseas. It has given me a broad experience with many cultures, industries, markets, and I asked the question what are the leadership principles that cover all of these areas? I think I have an answer. I've created a system of leadership based on outcome... survival. My career spanned a variety of industries including the military, international business, 6 startup companies, telecoms, and a stint in international security. In this wide variety of industries and cultures, success always hinged on the people. No matter if you were in the USA, South Korea, The Netherlands, Spain, or France, once you stripped away the nuance of culture, people are basically motivated by the same things. However, it seemed that everyone focused on the differences instead of the similarities. It was the commonalities in the backdrop of all those different cultures that convinced me that there could be unifying leadership model: EndGame Leadership.
