John Paul Allen was a late bloomer, publishing his first story shortly before turning 50. “Unlike many with a lifetime dream of writing, for me it was unexpected. After publishing Gifted Trust, he followed with two novellas and a dozen short stories. A case of writers’ block caused John Paul Allen to step away from writing from 2014 to 2024. He has now returned to the craft and plans on releasing new tales of dark fiction soon. John Paul Allen is known for crossing lines and warns readers, "Nothing is off limits, if it edifies a story. If you want safe, there's a lot of that being offered. I expect my readers to go beyond the content, in order to enjoy the story." John Paul Allen is originally from Michigan but served 13 years in the US Navy, stationed at four shore duty locations and onboard four ships. He's lived in Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Texas and now Tennessee with his wife and enjoys being Pa' Pa' to Zoe, Makenzie, Finn, Tommy and looks forward to a new granddaughter soon.
